• Login to EC2 instance using PuTTY and run below command:
  • sudo visudo
  • add "ubuntu ALL = (ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL" to the end of the file
Edit sudoers
  • Then switch to Winscp and edit the advanced settings as below:
Edit WinSCP advanced settings
  • Now change the file protocol to SCP:
Edit session file protocol

Now you should be able to edit/create/delete files and folders using WinSCP
